The Bollywood festival returns to Prague

For the sixth time, the Prague Bollywood Festival will once again take place in Prague. Over 40 films will be screened from October 6-12, 2008 in theaters Evald (October 6-8) and Svetozor (October 9-12). In response to unexpected audience enthusiasm, the organizers bring a broader range of contemporary Indian art films including unique shorts and documentaries. Bollywood blockbusters are a given.  Like every year, visitors will have the opportunity to participate in our rich program and events. Which include: discussions with international guests linked to India's film industries, our traditional Bollywood party featuring Munich Masala DJs and dance performances, Indian culinary delicacies, thematic decoration and an exhibition of the finalists of this year's Photo Competition. The Festival brings several guests linked to India's prolific film industries, including actors, directors, and producers. This year we are very excited by the planned visit of Mr. Kabir Bedi, the charismatic actor who rose to fame in the Czech Republic for his role in the serial Sandokan. With his long, successful and continuing career, Mr. Bedi will bring us even closer to understanding current trends in Indian cinema.  Fans will have the opportunity to interact with Mr. Bedi at a moderated discussion that follows a unique pre-release screening of Akbar Khan's Taj Mahal: The Eternal Love Story on October 10.

MOFFOM will screen the Laya Project film at the Bollywood film festival - 10.10. at 16.00 hod. at the small hall of the Svetozor cinema.
